ListPlayer – Apple Music playlist player for iOS

1. Overview

ListPlayer is an iOS app that lets you view and play the playlists in your Apple Music library. The app was built on the principle of data minimization: ListPlayer collects no personal data, uses no tracking and transmits no data to us or third parties. There is no user account and no registration.

2. Access to your music library

To fulfill its purpose, ListPlayer needs access to your music and Apple Music library. On first launch, iOS explicitly asks you for permission ("Media & Apple Music").

• Access serves solely to display your playlists and tracks and to play them via the built-in player.
• Processing of your library content happens exclusively locally on your device. This data does not leave your iPhone and is not transmitted to us.
• The coloring of the interface is computed locally from the respective album cover.
• You can revoke the permission at any time in the iOS settings under "Settings → ListPlayer".

3. Locally stored data

ListPlayer only stores app settings (e.g. your chosen sort order) locally on your device. These settings remain on the iPhone and are removed when you uninstall the app. No profiling and no analysis of your usage behavior takes place.

4. No tracking, no ads, no analytics

ListPlayer contains no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs, no advertising frameworks and no crash-reporting services. We create no user profiles and collect no usage statistics.

5. Apple Music & MusicKit

ListPlayer uses Apple's Music/MediaPlayer framework to access your library and play music. Playback of Apple Music content is subject to Apple's terms and privacy policy. We have no access to your Apple ID, your payment data or your Apple Music account.

6. No sharing with third parties

Since ListPlayer collects or transmits no personal data, there is also no sharing, selling or renting of data to third parties.

7. Legal basis

Where any processing takes place at all (local access to the library to provide the app's functions), it is based on your consent via the iOS permission prompt (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and on the performance of the usage relationship (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

8. Children

ListPlayer is not specifically directed at children. As no data is collected, no data from children is collected either.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. As we store no personal data about you, we generally hold no data that could be affected. For questions, contact apple@amelus.de. 10. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy if the app's functionality changes. The date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last updated.
